Some really labor intensive stuff.

Really likings some of the layering and sketching techniques your using here in photoshop. The color layer multiplied over the art with another color layer over top of that is really swift.

I imagine I'll try it one of these days.

Thanks for the inspirational and informative PODCAST.GOGOPEDROhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06253697598589953176noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-184842073980400466.post-26096312183053935502009-01-13T18:16:00.000-08:002009-01-13T18:16:00.000-08:00You're an awesome inspiration! this one was great!...You're an awesome inspiration! this one was great! I wish I could practice with digital painting but I don't have a tablet or anything like it. I do have Photoshop which makes my drawings easier to color, but I still scan my sketches and do a lot of work before getting into the coloring process.

How would you paint digitally without a tablet/cintique? Would you do the same with a standard mouse?Josedomsterhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12968740906843975864noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-184842073980400466.post-11175113534848932182009-01-12T15:01:00.000-08:002009-01-12T15:01:00.000-08:00Great tuition as usual. It was fun, I'll have to do more of it.

Quick question though. Have you found that the colors on your Cintiq appear much much darker than on other monitors? I enjoy listening to these while I'm at work, working in photoshop myself.
If I may just make an observation (and this is not a criticism) - in part 2 you were talking about working up a painting all at the same time. I definitely think this is a great way to work (and one I also use often). Incidentally, I just posted a demo on my blog where I worked exactly the opposite way (finishing one thing almost completely first, and then moving on).
Of course, I'm not implying one of us is right or wrong. In fact, more often than not, your advice works better. I always find it fascinating how differently people will approach a painting.
Anyway, hope you'll keep posting these vids!Marco Buccihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05788991587785477785noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-184842073980400466.post-58915689198795598192008-11-27T11:59:00.000-08:002008-11-27T11:59:00.000-08:00"G" for Genius.
